For over 30 years, the Platzlhof has been run by our family. Our parents laid the foundation in 1971 when they decided to build a hotel business. It was called "Weinstadl" in its early years. Over the years, the Platzlhof - now being run by the second generation - has become what it is today: a great place to be with a lot of heart!
Our hotel is located in Ried, in the First Holiday Region of the Zillertal. Overlooking the village centre, our house offers a beautiful panorama view of the Zillertal mountains. The region's ski areas – Hochfügen-Hochzillertal and Spieljoch – can comfortably be reached by ski bus, and the valley's other ski areas are only a few kilometers away.

In summer you can easily access the Zillertal Alpine Road from our hotel - a very beautiful Alpine road. Once there, you simply have to take a break at our Platzlalm, which is managed by our brother Martin and his Eva. From the Platzlhof it is only a few minutes to the newly opened Golfclub Zillertal. The 18-hole course - situated amid the beautiful Zillertal mountains - makes the hearts of golfers beat faster, and beginners can practice their first swings with a golf pro at the driving range. Have you ridden on an e-bike? With us you have the opportunity - so far, everybody has loved it!!!
Throughout the entire year, the First Holiday Region has a lot of offer. Boredom doesn't stand a chance. Take your pick from a varied programme and countless destinations for day trips. There's something for everybody of every age. Once you've been to the Zillertal, you'll want to come back again and again.
The Platzlhof offers you comfortable rooms and apartments, and a lot of activities in and around the hotel and in the region. Our wellness oasis and our popular and excellent kitchen will do their bit to make sure that you can enjoy every minute of your holiday here with us.
